Visions of SugarPlums dance thru my head...

What a weird time I am having... I guess it's like the 7 year inch in a marriage... except I am hitting the 4 month point in my band's life. I want to eat the wrong things... even though I want to continue to lose weight... Contradicting desires, huh? I keep thinking about the Mezzaluna at Carrabbas... One of the favorites in my old life, only i don't eat pasta anymore. It's like being addicted to crack... these carbs always have me right where they want me. I can't sleep at night and visions of Sugarplums are literally dancing in my head. It's a constant fight... I win some battles and lose some... but I will win this war!

Its ok... your just at a bump at the road, you will roll right over it soon enough :)

  2. Hey Maria.. I know what you mean (and the night time can be the worst).
My old stand by.. eat a bowl of kashi cereal.. it is filling and kills the carb drive.. hang in there.. sometimes there is a a rough patch or two (BELIEVE ME I AM LIVING THIS NOW).. but persist and you will get through this..
    Hang in there

  3. I'm right there with you, even though I'm on my pre-op diet! Late nights are sooo hard; even thought I try to get to bed early, I wake up thinking of food in the middle of the night. Yesterday, I didn't eat anything not on my diet, but I probably ate in quantities not recommended. I still got way less calories that I'd normally eat, so I'm still counting that as good.

Thanks for your words of encouragement and support on my blog. The pre-op diet that I'm on for a little over four weeks is two protein shakes, a sensible meal (three to four ounces of lean meat and a veggie like broccoli), with lean deli meat and cheese for snacks if necessary. During the day I totally rock the diet; it's so easy to stay on track for me. Nights, however, are another story. I've been white knuckling it, but tonight I didn't make it ...

    Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

  4. I hear you my friend. I'm not a sweets fan, but wine and cheese literally take over my thoughts and haunt my dreams.

My fill is today, so hopefully the cravings will be subsided

  5. Ah I know the pasta addiction all to well, bread was my main fix.

Hang in there, you'll get through this bump soon. *hugs*

  6. Ah yes, I miss pasta so much!!! I unfortunately have a sweet tooth and a savory tooth! Eek!!

I'm trying to follow your blog, but it's buggering up while I'm at work... maybe it will work when I try from home tonight! :)
